Reviews
First time visiting this outlet for dinner. Liked their signature dishes xiao long bao, dumplings and spicy hot & sour soup. Staff are very friendly and attentive, recommended
As usual, it's what you can expect from any Din Tai Fung outlet. They're well known for up keeping and standardising their food and service quality across all their outlets and this outlet did not disappoint. Great food, service and atmosphere.
I ordered their fried rice with shrimps and pork chop, along with their spicy hot and sour soup, prawn pancake, and some xiao long baos. All the dishes I ordered were great. I've been to this outlet and also visited other outlets many times and I knew what taste to expect from their dishes. This time round they had a promotional item, their chilli crab xiao long bao and it was amazing. Really tastes like you're eating chilli crab. It was refreshing to try a xiao long bao from Din Tai fung that uses a different soup base.
I have been to this outlet many times since it's the one nearest to my place and every time it doesn't disappoint. I've always had a good dining experience here and will continue visiting from time to time.
Came around 7pm on a Monday night and there was no que. Service staff was quick and food were served upon ordering. The pork xiao long bao never fail to impress, taste was good as usual. The crispy prawn cake was the best. The stew pork noodle was average.
It's very crowded and usually you need to wait 30 minutes before getting a seat. it's nosiy, and it is a common phenomenon in Din Tai Fung restaurants. As such, it's not an ideal place to have a good conversation among friends and family.
Nontheless, we enjoyed the traditional xiao long boa, egg fried rice, prawn pancake, and spicy hot and sour soup.
We tried mustard leave & shredded pork noodle, and and wanton soup, they were really good!
Service staff were attentive and provided good service.
Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Easy to order online and wait is not too long. Food quality standard has been consistent for so many years and still loved their Xiao Long Bao.
My “go-to” restaurant for Lunch/Dinner “KaKi”… The food is decent while service is superb!!!
Food:
The restaurant is popular in serving delicious Chinese cuisine. Their signature dishes are Xiao Long Bao and Egg fried rice (p/s it tastes better than DTF Taiwan 🙃). Besides, They also serve a variety of dishes, from traditional Chinese Dim Sum to more modern stir fried bak Choi. What are my favourite dishes? Ans: to many to list it down 😅 here.
Service:
The staff is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. They are always willing and trying to serve you as much as they can. They really deserved 5-star from me.
Atmosphere:
It is located at Ground Floor of Junction 8 mall and it is so convenient to get grocery in NTUC after the meal.
Verdict:
I have been to the restaurant quite often, at least 2-3 times in one month. They are not only serving good quality food, but also ensuring consistency of food quality. Nevertheless, their uncompromising services that keep me going back to the restaurant!
Food is not bad though prices seem to have gone up quite a bit. A small plate of Xiao Cai is now $6. Service is good and efficient. Avoid peak hours if you don't want to queue long.
Eaten DTF over the years at different outlets. Standard has never dropped, pretty amazing for a franchise to maintain that. Always a good meal if you are looking for some decent dim sum and chinese food.
